Events and activities

During the first round of our campaign, we put on several public engagement sessions, professionals training, workshops for young people and education events that were a success. Below is a list of the events taking place over our September period of action. More events will be added to this table as soon as they’re confirmed.

If you attend Bournemouth College, one of our Community Safety Officers will be available to answer questions about our Knife Crime campaign as well as give details on some of our other safety initiatives and direct to those who can support you.

Knife Crime Awareness stand at Poole College Freshers Fair

If you attend Poole College, one of our Community Safety Officers will be available to answer questions about our Knife Crime campaign as well as give details on some of our other safety initiatives and direct to those who can support you.

16 September

1:30-4pm

Bournemouth Hospital Engagement Session

One of our Community Safety Officers will be in the Atrium at Bournemouth Hospital to answer any questions you have about our Knife Crime Awareness campaign.

17 September

10am-12:30pm

Asda West Quay Road Engagement Session

If you’re heading to Asda West Quay Road, one of our Community Safety Officers will be there to answer any questions you have about our Knife Crime Awareness campaign.

If you’re heading to Tesco Castle Lane, one of our Community Safety Officers will be there to answer any questions you have about our Knife Crime Awareness campaign.

Bournemouth Square and Gardens


#ChangesAreMade Day

The 'Changes Are Made' event will celebrate positive activities young people can participate in.

There will be various stands, displays and activities which young people can try on the day including DJ sessions, African Drumming and a Skate Ramp. 

There will also be entertainment, singing, bands and dancing by young people in Bournemouth Garden's Bandstand.
